We are proud to announce that Mollie's fund has won two 2016 Effie awards - one Gold and one Silver for our very successful "Killer Tan" PSA. Jack and Maggie Biggane were in attendance to receive the awards.

Garden City Middle School — Garden City, NY

The presentation was given to all 6th grade students of GC Middle School. Mollie’s Fund was assisted by Doctors Daly and Clarke. Students viewed “The Dark Side of the Sun”. Dr. Daly (GC Dermatology) reviewed how to be sun smart and Dr. Clarke performed his rap melanoma song.

Mollie’s Fund sponsored with Kemp Hannon, New York State Senator 6th District and ranking member of the Senate Health Committee, an evening educational symposium on “Prevention and Awareness of Skin Cancer and Melanoma”. Dr. Peter O’Neill, Director of the Dermatology Department at Winthrop Hospital answered participants’ questions.

1,400 Middle School students participated in a skin cancer awareness program sponsored by The Promise Foundation. Students viewed our film “The Dark Side of the Sun” and received ‘Have You Checked Your Skin Lately?” brochures.

20 million New York City taxi riders during the month of May had the opportunity to learn about mole identification and our new app in our psa, which was viewed by passengers on taxi TV. Select cabs featured an overhead outside message.

NYC – Subway Campaign – 1300 posters inside the cars alerted over 6 million riders about skin cancer.

The Long Island Rail Road, the largest commuter rail line in the U.S. will featured our ads, alerting their riders on the train and on the platform about skin cancer. The LIRR trains carry over 300,000 riders each week from 124 stations in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Our public service posters were circulated in kiosks throughout the village of Garden City.

Public Service Ads from Mollie’s Fund were featured on major ABC and CBS channels and their affiliates. Local Cablevision stations also aired this ad.
