The Melanoma Action Coalition will host a two day meeting at the University of Pennsylvania. Details and agendas to be announced at a later date. Maggie and Jack are founding members of this organization.

Save the date for the 18th Annual Mollie’s Fund Golf Outing and Dinner fundraiser on September 27th, 2018 at the Garden City Country Club.
Signature Homes, Garden City, NY will sponsor a one mile walk to support melanoma awareness. Donations received will support the outreach and prevention programs of the Mollie Biggane Melanoma Foundation.

Eastern Long Island Hospital Annual Golf Tournament at North Fork Country Club, Cutchogue, New York. Mollie’s Fun will supply sunscreen and hats for golfers.
Garden City Middle School — Garden City, NY
Garden City Middle School, 6 th Grade “Sun Safety” Program, Students will view “The Dark Side of the Sun”, a video produced by Mollie’s Fund which discusses skin cancer and Mollie’s personal battle. Dr. Ted Daly, GC Dermatology, will review with the students concepts taught in the film.
Adelphi University — Garden City, NY
Adelphi University, Skin Cancer Screening 12-2, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. Under the auspices of the Health Studies Department, Mollie’s Fund will coordinate a campus screening, and educate their student community about sun safe behaviors. Mollie’s Fund will also donate two sunscreen dispensers, they will be placed either in the locker rooms or on the fields.
Eastern Long Island Hospital — Greenport, NY
Mollie’s Fund will celebrate Nurse Appreciation week with the nursing staff of Eastern Long Island Hospital. Nurses will received re-usable “Have You Checked Your Skin Lately Bags”, sunscreen samples and special skin cancer education articles geared to support nurses in providing appropriate instructions to help prevent skin cancer.
The Hampton Jitney will feature our iconic bikini PSA’s – “Odds of being attacked by a Shark – 1
in 65,000,000. Odds of developing Skin Cancer – 1 in 5” and “Odds of being struck by Lightning
– 1 in 700,000. Odds of developing Skin Cancer – 1 in 5”.
