Prevent Your Risk:
*Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or more sunscreen. Apply frequently and liberally. Don’t forget UV radiation causes sun damage in winter and cloudy days too.
*Wear protective clothing, hat and sunglasses.
*Seek shade, avoid mid-day sun.
*Never, never use tanning beds. Melanoma is the number one cancer diagnosed in young adults (25-29). This is attributed to tanning bed use.
*Protect your children. Just one blistering sunburn in childhood or adolescence doubles their risk of developing melanoma later.
